conceptart.org Workshop - Prague 05

The conceptart.org workshops are always amazing and all those attending are usually completely blown away. This one was about ten times better than either of the two I've attended before. Thanks to the organisers and to everyone who made the workshop and Prague itself so great.

Sober Wes. This guy was such an inspiration to meet - so exciteable, and doing so well on his first damn workshop! I think this guy alone energised half the instructors. Gotta get you around our way more, bud.

At this point we trekked to the tram stop and realised there WAS NO TRAM. The 90% of you that wussed out and didn't heed the call of the drum n bass massive missed out, I gotta tell you. Cause from here on, time got a little weird for yours truly haha

There were no filters used making this photo. The room really did that, and Andrew's head really did start looking like one of his drawings. Andrew, you gotta put this in your self portrait thread. Layil doing her thing once again, and I was shocked when I got home, cause I honestly don't remember this haha

The Massive.

Andrew did a wicked self portrait demo for about five of us. I got lucky and was there for this, where he first demoed the illustrative construction technique, and Aleksi's talk about his work, where he talked about Kandinsky's theories and everything. That guy is a serious thinker. Major respect to both of you - so damn inspirational, and I'm gonna steal alla yo shit haha

This man is the centre of an ever-shifting vortex of eyes. I didn't get a photo (Jesus, even I can only get so drunk and still remember my phone is a camera haha) but he was the last man standing in every single way when on the night of the third day, he was sitting in a bar full of drunken idiots drawing, all by himself. At 5:30 in the god damn morning. Also a totally super nice dude. And just look at how cool he looks, all in black with his black headphones on and mind melding with his laptop haha. Thanks for the kind words, Philippe, hopefully I'll see you soon.

I'm going back to the Golden Sickle for my birthday. This day felt a lot like my birthday, in many ways..

We felt left out cause we hadn't gone to one of those massage parlours people are always talking about in Prague. You shoulda seen Cai's face on this thing hahaha
